Mental Health
Building a Stronger Mind
Each person is multidimensional therefore this treatment program is all encompassing. Interval Teen’s philosophy is to “empower” the client by creating a foundation of recovery tools for success, working in collaboration with a treatment team, and creating a community base support system.
Our Philosophy
How is this philosophy achieved?
We create a safe and nurturing environment for our mental health treatment program. Working in collaboration with a treatment team Interval addresses mental illness recovery and supports the client in developing healthier coping mechanisms and practical life skills. Learning skill sets on how to cope with their mental illness helps to “empower” the client and prepares the client for life outside of treatment and into recovery.
Because mental illness can be such a complex and subjective experience, an individualized treatment protocol is developed to meet the client’s therapeutic needs and goals. In order to solidify recovery, family therapy is part of the program to support members involved in the recovery process. Breaking through the challenges of a mental illness can deeply affect family members as well as partners. Family is defined as “what the clients says is their family.”
Because recovery is a process, it is imperative for the client to continue treatment once terminating from the Interval Teen Residential Program. While the client is gradually terminating from the program, their treatment team strategizes a community support system plan. Bridging recovery received in the Interval Teen program to recovery within the outside community again “empowers” the client and creates a sense of wellbeing and self efficacy.
Interval Teen is run by women, for women, to empower young women.
Mindfulness
Our program introduces and encourages meditation techniques, the art of stillness, and the capacity to remain fully present. We guide and support our residents in crafting practices that can seamlessly integrate into their everyday lives beyond the treatment setting.
